Benefits of Professional Development

Professional development increases student achievement and success when teachers focus on required skills needed to address students’ needs. Professional development also helps schools retain new teachers and enable them to become strong teachers by learning effective practices to apply to their teaching practice.

Phases of Consultancy

 Discovery

Our goal is to learn all we can about your school from your administration, staff members, parents and students.

This may include online meetings with some members of the school community, completion of surveys, tours of the school, observations of current best teaching practices, and interviews.

It is our goal to uncover how the school runs and what is already in place to enable the students to be successful in their learning

 Evaluation

Once we have an in-depth understanding of how your school runs, we will work towards understanding where change is needed to promote student achievement and success.

This involves identifying the school strengths and weaknesses, opportunities for growth as well as present and future challenges.

We will also collaborate with school staff to develop solutions to problems, develop an action plan and set goals to promote student and staff safety, wellbeing and achievement.

 Restructuring

Once there is a consensus with the school administration and staff members, we will work closely to implement our action plan, as well as set goals to be met.

This will be implemented in meetings through discussions and professional development workshops and provision of resources where deemed necessary.

Ongoing feedback and data from student assessments, interviews, conferencing, observations, products and conversations will be analyzed regularly and the school plans and set goals will be adjusted accordingly.
